TechTrauma Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Codefold, LLC ("Codefold," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and processes information in connection with TechTrauma and related websites, applications, and services available at https://techtrauma.com/ (the "Service").
This policy applies to TechTrauma specifically. If you use a different Codefold product, that product may have its own privacy policy, even if some language overlaps.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in a few different ways.
A. Information you provide directly
Depending on how you use the Service, you may provide:
- account details, such as your name, username, profile information, and email address;
- prompts, messages, notes, files, text inputs, configuration settings, and other content you submit through the Service;
- support requests, feedback, survey responses, or communications you send to us;
- information needed to authenticate your account or connect optional integrations.
Job-search materials. TechTrauma may process resumes, work history, job descriptions, prompts, generated application materials, and related account activity needed to provide tailored outputs.
B. Information from sign-in providers
If you sign in using Google or GitHub, we receive basic account information made available by that provider for authentication and account setup, such as your email address, a provider-specific account identifier, and basic profile information.
For standard sign-in, we do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, or similar Google content. Likewise, standard GitHub sign-in alone does not give us repository access unless we separately tell you so and you authorize an additional integration.
C. Information collected automatically
We and our service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information such as:
- IP address and approximate location derived from it;
- device, browser, operating system, and app or session identifiers;
- pages viewed, interactions, timestamps, referral information, and performance data;
- diagnostic information, crash data, and error reports;
- security and abuse-prevention signals.
We may use cookies, local storage, SDKs, pixels, or similar technologies to operate the Service, keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Service, and understand usage.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- create and manage accounts;
- authenticate users and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- process user inputs and generate outputs, transcripts, summaries, recommendations, or other responses;
- operate integrations and user-requested workflows;
- communicate with you about the Service, including support and administrative messages;
- analyze usage, debug issues, monitor performance, and develop product features;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. AI, Transcription, Media Generation, and Automated Processing
Some Service features use third-party AI, transcription, speech, or media-generation providers.
We may send text, files, images, audio, screen context, prompts, transcripts, settings, and related content to third-party providers to generate responses, summaries, transcripts, voice interactions, images, video, or other outputs.
For many AI requests, we use an intermediary routing provider. That routing layer may send a request to one or more downstream model providers or infrastructure hosts selected based on availability, performance, cost, or configuration. Because of that, the downstream provider used for a particular request may vary over time and from request to request.
Where transcription or live audio features are available, those features are user-initiated. Even when we aim not to operate those features as a long-term raw-audio archive, transient processing, caching, operational logging, or limited provider-side retention may still occur.
AI-generated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, offensive, or otherwise unsuitable for your use case. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them.
Please do not submit highly sensitive personal information, financial account data, health information, trade secrets, or other confidential information unless you are comfortable with that information being processed by our service providers.
4. How We Share Information
We may share information:
- with service providers and infrastructure vendors that help us operate the Service;
- with authentication, hosting, backend, analytics, monitoring, transcription, AI, and media-generation providers;
- with third-party services you choose to connect or interact with;
- when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, asset sale, or similar transaction;
- with your consent or at your direction.
Service-provider categories we may use include identity providers (such as Google and GitHub), backend and hosting providers (such as Convex and Vercel), DNS/CDN and traffic services (such as Cloudflare), error-reporting or observability providers (such as Sentry), transcription providers (such as Deepgram or Soniox), AI routing or model providers (such as OpenRouter and downstream providers selected through it), and media-generation providers (such as Replicate or fal).
5. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Service, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with law, and enforce agreements.
Retention can vary by data type, configuration, and service provider. For example, account records may remain while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward; content may remain until you delete it or until operational needs or legal obligations require retention; and certain diagnostics, analytics, or vendor-hosted processing records may be retained according to provider defaults or our settings.
We aim to minimize retention where practical, but we do not guarantee that every category of processing is strictly zero-retention or no-log.
6. Security
We use commercially reasonable measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for using the Service in a way that is appropriate for the sensitivity of the information you submit.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You may be able to access, update, or delete certain account information through the Service.
You may also contact us at ops@codefold.org to request account deletion or to ask about access, correction, or deletion rights that may apply to you under applicable law.
You can usually stop optional integrations by disconnecting them, and you can stop optional transcription or voice features by turning those features off. If you uninstall a third-party app integration, we will stop receiving new data through that integration going forward, although we may retain previously received data as described in this policy.
8. International Processing
We and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from the laws where you live.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Service. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and update the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after an update becomes effective means you accept the revised policy, to the extent permitted by law.
